V1.8 is Live
Reclvse v1.8 is now available!
This update includes numerous typo fixes, a complete rewrite of the Adventure Reveal chapter, and an entirely new chapter, Hearth, focused on establishing and shaping a home in the dying lands. I’ll also be running an important poll in the Discord server that will help determine the next direction of the book, so please join in if you’d like to have a say.
I’ll be taking a few days off from Reclvse to put some work into Spill Guts!, a Mörk Borg hack where you play a beast sent by HIM to devour hearts and become beautiful.

That’s all for now. Thanks again to everyone for the help, feedback, and support, it means more than you know.

I love the new Adventure Reveal version. It is starting to click.
I hope I am not over-burdening you. I am looking at the Overland Hazards section right now. These tables seem to work best as somewhat abstract inspirations and not direct suggestions since you might not be on a cliff or in a tunnel or in the hills or swamp, etc. when you roll on them, but I just wanted to run them by you as entries that caused me to be confused by their meaning.
pg 75 - Human Threat Signs - #7 - A crude trap 'left reset' - clarification
pg 75 - Signs of Ambush - "Indications the 'ground' may be unsafe." - is this the correct subtitle for this table? consider: "Indications that someone or something has been waiting for you for some reason."
pg 75 - Signs of Stalking - #10 - "Something pacing you 'in forest line'. clarification. How to clearly make this different than #11?
pg 76 - Natural Hazards - #17 -"Rapid fog swallow" - consider: "Rapidly engulfed by dense fog" or "Thick fog rapidly rolls in"
pg 76 - Terrain Dangers - #16 - "tunnel collapse in hills" - very specific situation. what if you aren't in the hills? Maybe I just don't completely understand how to use these tables' roll results during a Travel Move other than for somewhat loose application/inspiration.
pg 76 - Terrain Dangers - #20 - "Sudden ravine split". clarification. is this an earthquake?
#1 I've changed to - A crude trap left behind.
#2 Fixed the wording, it nows reads "Indications you may be a target"
#3 rewritten to not be so similar
#4 used your wording "Thick fog rapidly rolls in"
#5 will make this table more open ended
Awesome!
I was going to ask for more Adventure Reveal info. I find the idea fascinating but can't exactly grok the method.
I hope the rewrite makes it clearer. It's heavily based off of Tim Scutt's book DM Yourself.
Ok. Good to know. I will check that out as well.
